Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries have included, Age Concern, Hospice in the Weald, The FRED club, Scout and Guides in Southborough, Tunbridge Wells and Pembury, Kent Air Ambulance, Charles Street School, M. S. Society (Tunbridge Wells Branch) R.N.L.I. Compaid, Samaritans, Pepenbury, C.A.B. Children’s Sunshine Centre Pickering Cancer drop in Centre, St John Ambulance and many other deserving individuals and groups in our area.

This year our Darts Competition beneficiaries were, Kent Air Ambulance, The Pickering Cancer Drop in Centre and The Samaritans (TW).

A small amount of the money raised goes to Lions International to support projects such as Sight conservation, Water Aid, Drug awareness, Diabetes clinics, Medic Alert, Youth exchange and Earthquake disasters.

In the early part of the year we have a Tea Party for the elderly at the Royal Victoria Hall. With a bit of entertainment as shown above

This year we are highlighting "Message in a bottle" This is a container that is placed in the refrigerator with details of any vulnerable person's medication and problems to be used in an emergency.

In the autumn a coach trip to the coast is arranged also for the elderly.

Christmas parcels are delivered to the deserving elderly in our district
